What Oberlin Means to People
Advocacy
Unmet need, and poverty, are reasons we located a comprehensive health center in Oberlin. About 21% of Oberlin residents have income below federal poverty, and the city is in a Medically Underserved Area. Wellington has a dentist shortage. 85% of our patients live in poverty, evidence of our ability to unlock barriers to care and reach those most in need.
Lorain County Health & Dentistry works closely with other, local community providers and social service agencies to increase awareness, maximize collective impact and extend our reach.
